Little Britain is Love!

Yet here I am, digging Little Britain up into bits. I love BBC.
Awesome show might I add. It’s so witty and it’ll make you laugh till your sides hurt. Yes, it’s the same show that Johnny Depp was raving about to the media. He was rooting for the US version though.
So what’s it about?
Little Britain is a comedy sketch show featuring the duo, Matt Lucas and David Williams with an ‘attempt’ to explain British culture to foreigners. Really, it’s all that is to the viewers but it’s unique through its memorable characters. There’s Majorie Dawes the Fat Fighter woman who’s clearly obese herself, Emily Howard, the woMAN who desperate to be thought of as a lady, Daffyd – the self proclaimed gay essence/existence in town, Vicky Pollard (My favorite!) the white common deliquent, Sebastian and Micheal – Micheal is the spoof of Tony Blair (who is the prime minister by the way) whereas Sebastian (another favorite!) is his gay aide and he clearly wants to ‘get it on’ with him if you know what I mean. There’s certainly more but I’ve only watched the first few of the episodes.
Here’s the first episode available for you to enjoy :D
Tell me what you think of it. I’m curious to hear your thoughts! :)
P.S. If you haven’t heard, Pushing Daisies has been canceled. Beloved show of mine, may you rest in peace. Ned’s touch of life didn’t do much to resuscitate you.
We Got Married News – JoongBo Leave Confirmed. I think I died inside a little.

NOOOOOO!
First it was Andy and Solbi. Then Alex and Sinae.
It’s…. heartpainstakingly confirmed. No more Lettuce couple fun.
The JoongBo couple are leaving. All because of Hyunjoong’s involvement in Boys Over Flowers. I’m happy for his involvement but selfish lil
‘ me wish he didn’t so he could’ve stayed with Hwangbo and continue their awkward ways on WGM.

Gah, I know this was going to happen sooner or later. It’s.. just not fun without the original couples anymore. I’m too attached to them. Sure, Crown J and Seo InYoung are there. I love them bickering and fighting but it’s depressing because we can’t see their interactions with each other anymore. So Dambi and Marco bores the hell out of me, I skip their parts. The Hwanhee/Hwayobi couple looks promising. Speaking of the couple, did you see the episode last night on their honeymoon?
WHAT A VOICE, MIND YOU. I TOTALLY DID NOT EXPECT THAT “VOICE” TO COMING FROM HWAYOBI.
In case you missed last night,
Holy smokes! And this is hwayobi?!? My first impression of her from the previous episodes were that she was a complete klutz and ditzy. She’s completely womanly when she sings. But her previous interviews from years before show a controlled, complacent side of her. I guess it must be because she is completely gaga over bad boy Hwanhee. He ain’t bad looking.
OddBites: B*tch Slap!
My my my. This video I’m about to mention is causing a ruckus over the Indian news headquarters.
Can someone sense the irony here?
Mezba over at his blog, perfectly describes what’s going on here. Frankly I would describe it myself but I’m too lazy.
“Somewhat disturbing, somewhat funny, and politically very incorrect.
Dadagiri is a new reality Indian TV show on a youth channel called Bindass. One of the segments of the show feature contestants withstanding verbal abuse by a female anchor dressed as some dominatrix. In this episode, it seems someone forgot to give the guy contestants the script – they were unmoved by her tirade.
What then followed, the girl lost her temper.
And slapped the guy.
And the guy … well, you’d better watch the video.
I find it pretty surprising that such television shows now air in the same land where Richard Gere cannot kiss Shilpa Shetty.
Of course the TV network then did not air the scene but completely left it out of the final cut that made it to the air.
And then conveniently released it on Youtube.
Sneaky, these Indians. “
Music Featurettes: Maryem Tollar – “Maiyya, Maiyya”, DBSK – “Mirotic”
Right, I should mention that all the MP3s I post are meant for sampling purposes. I’m only a poor student sharing her opinion on things so don’t sue me. You know the rules, delete after 24 hours or what ever works in your country.
Maryam Tollar/A.R. Rahman – Maiyya Maiyya
The story behind this song is that famous A. R. Rahman (best known for composing modern bollywood hits since ages!) was on his Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca when he came across a man across the river repeatedly singing, “Maiyya, Maiyya” (meaning water in arabic). He was so taken at how it sounds like Hindi and ta daa! This masterpiece came out! Of course, the vocal artist had to go through some training since she never spoke Hindi but it fits so well! Okay, minus the crappy dance by so-called sex symbol Maalika Sherawat. Still, do take a look!
It might seem strange to you that I’m also posting a kpop video. It’s not my area of interest and I’m too old to be fangirling about things especially for boybands. The last time I fangirled boybands was in second grade with the BSBs. That’s long ago. But what caught my curiosity is that it’s a really really stunning music video! I searched hours and hours and found out that it’s directed by Cha Eun Taek and choreographed by Kenny Worwald. BUT OMG, WHAT A PRETTY VIDEO. I LOVE THE FLOATING GIRL. She mesmerizes me. I don’t get the asymetrical hairstyles, they look like they have rags on their heads and I don’t need to see their pseudo-boobage. Whatever, sex appeal to those crazy DBSK fangirls = chachinggg for the corporation. That’s not my business. Cha Eun Taek is a genius.
Well, whaddya know. Is asian pop music a haven of plagiariasm or what? Turns out that German popstar Sarah Conner’s “Under My Skin” has the exact same rhythm… Whatever, the music video kicks butt imo.
OddBites: Six Terrifying Things They Don’t Tell You About Childbirth

RUN WOMAN RUN! FEND FOR YOUR DEAR LIFE. DON’T LET THAT MAN IMPREGNATE YOU.
You know how hollywood portrays child birthing to be a rosy and spiritual experience for any woman in their lifetime, right?
Think again.
Six Terrifying Things They Don’t Tell You About Childbirth
On other note, I haven’t disappeared. I’m just laying low for a while. Not that anyone cares whether I update this site or not seeing as most people who find this blog are either SS501/JGS fangirls. Comments would be nice, you know.
YouTube Spotlight: I Seen Beyoncé at Burger King
Cazwell – I Seen Beyoncé at Burger King
The music video is downright weird but heck, it’s a really catchy song!
YouTube Spotlight: Where the Hell Is Matt?
Okay, okay. I’m sure most of you already seen this video but ever wonder who sang the song? I thought it was vaguely familiar and guess I wasn’t wrong… I thought the song is sung in Bangla and turns out it is! The lyrics are from a poem called “Stream of Life” by the Bengali Shakespeare Rabindranth Tagore, a Nobel prize winner and a literary influence for the Bangladesh Liberation War in the 1970′s for you history junkies out there. The voice behind it is a seventeen year old Palbasha Siddique, an American Bangladeshi native in Minneapolis.

English Translation
Stream of Life
by Rabindranath Tagore
The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day
runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures.
It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth
in numberless blades of grass
and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers.
It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth
and of death, in ebb and in flow.
I feel my limbs are made glorious by the touch of this world of life.
And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my blood this moment.
OddBites: “I found him!”
Not really, I didn’t. QGYH2 on digg did. But who on the world would have known that this guy was on Google Maps the entire time! And sir, I want my money back.
I’m sure you know him (Google Maps)
YouTube Spotlight: Christian Siriano – HIS FIERCEST MOMENTS
N’uff said. He’s a genius, fabulous, brilliant and the winner of Project Runway Season Four. You can’t help but fall for him. And I bet you’ll be including ‘fierce’ in your everyday vocabulary once you see this video.
What what? Are you serious!?
Is that what I really think it is?
GOD, I HOPE NOT.
They’re making a live action Dragonball Z movie?
NO WAY.
And it’s filming in my city?
OH NO.
How nostalgic.
Now don’t get me wrong, I was a Dragonball Z fan when I was eleven. It sounds silly coming from ex-female fan who watched in one sitting all episodes of the series with an old neighbor one night. It is a great show if you gave it a chance…Given in mind I was eleven and could be influenced very easily. Nah.. at eleven, I was more into watching the WWF wrestling competitions with my father and dressed myself in baggy pants and hoodies to oppose the other girls who were into makeup, tube tops and boys. I didn’t have any interest in those kind of things. But that doesn’t mean I would’ve watched Dragonball Z in the first place. I shrugged it off at first seeing it on YTV as a show meant for boys with its non stop grunting, testosterone filled fighting scenes and angry looking and gender question aliens (Sorry Piccolo, I initially thought you were secretly a woman but hell, you’re a hermaphrodite). Just google Freeza and the Ginyu team already.
Pfft, I don’t know how I got into it but… it is a good show. I can’t believe I typed that. It is the first show that introduced me to the whole, you know, streaming movies online.
I see that this post is going nowhere.
But how in the world will they pull this off? I mean, green colored aliens (Ah hem, Picolo) and its perverted sense of humor will turn some people off. Who in the world calls their kids Trunks and Bra? No wait, I take that back. Parents call their kids anything these days. Even his mission will sound hilarious for the newcomers—Goku who has a heart of gold searches for the seven magic balls in order to be granted a wish by a long dragon who pierces the sky (Freud anyone?) How are they gonna do the Super Saiyan effect? Use maybe massive amount of gel and blonde hair dye? He doesn’t have much hair to do that in the first place.
Mr. Akira Toriyama was on crack when he wrote Dragonball Z. Honestly, this show isn’t meant to be on the silver screen. It promises one thing though—Hilarity will ensue.
